Welcome to the Pole Movement Community
We’re so happy to have you here! Our forum is a supportive and educational space for pole dancers and instructors to connect, ask questions, and share experiences. To ensure a positive and respectful environment for all members, please adhere to the following guidelines:
1. Credential your posts
When posting and commenting, please use the following code so the group understands your background/experience:
- If you’re a pole TEACHER, please begin your post with a ‘T’ in brackets, and the number of years you’ve been teaching e.g. (T1) = teaching 1 year, (T8) = teaching 8 years.
- If you’re a pole STUDENT, please begin your post with an ‘S’ in brackets and the number of years you’ve been learning e.g. (S1) = learning for 1 year or less, (S8) = learning for 8 years.
- You’re welcome to add relevant info. E.g. if you’re a physio who has been a pole student for 1 year, you could say (S1 - physio), or a teacher with dance training (T2 - dancer 8 years).
2. Be Kind and Respectful
- Treat everyone with kindness and professionalism. Let’s lift each other up— literally and figuratively!
- Constructive feedback is encouraged, but negativity, harassment, discrimination, hate speech, or bullying will not be tolerated. This community is a safe space for humans of all walks of life. Comments surrounding race, religion, culture, sexual orientation, gender or identify are unacceptable.
- If you see something concerning, flag it instead of engaging. Moderators will step in if needed.
3. Keep It Relevant
- Discussions should be related to pole dance instruction, training, and professional development.
- If sharing off-topic content, make sure it adds value to the community.
4. No Medical Advice
- Members are not permitted to provide or request medical advice regarding injuries, pain, or rehabilitation.
- If you have a medical concern, please consult a qualified professional. The Pole Physio offers online specialised physiotherapy services for pole dancers and aerialists worldwide.
5. No Unauthorised Instruction
- This forum is for discussion and support, but it is not to be used for instructing others on how to teach pole.
- Please do not provide step-by-step teaching methods or instructional breakdowns unless you are an approved Pole Movement instructor.
- Our Pole Movement instructors will aim to respond to instructor-specific questions as soon as possible. In the interim, if you’re seeking guidance on instructing, please refer to the Pole Movement course materials to see whether your question is answered in the materials provided.
6. No Spam, Self-Promo, or Advertising
- This isn’t a marketplace—please don’t advertise services, courses, or products.
- Self-promotion, class/workshop/studio advertisements, merch promotion, or spamming of unrelated/alternative business content is not allowed.
- No affiliate links, promotions, or external training programs.
- If in doubt, ask a moderator before posting promotional content.
7. Protect Our Content and Intellectual Property
- Course materials—including the training manual, videos, and resources—are for your personal use only. Don’t share, copy, or distribute any course content outside this community.
- Please respect the privacy of other members. Do not share personal information, private messages, photos, or confidential content without consent.
- Do not screenshot or distribute content from this forum outside of the community.
8. Help Keep Things Organised
- Post in the right category to keep discussions easy to navigate.
- Avoid duplicate posts—search before creating a new thread.
- Keep replies meaningful. Instead of “+1” or “Agreed,” use the Like button.
9. Moderation and Reporting Issues
- Moderators are here to keep things running smoothly, but this is your community, too.
- If you see something that doesn’t align with these guidelines, flag it instead of engaging.
- Moderators reserve the right to remove content or users if necessary, but we’d much rather create a space where everyone thrives together!
By participating in this forum, you agree to these guidelines. Let’s make this a welcoming, supportive, and inspiring space for all!
Thank you for being part of Pole Movement! Let’s grow and shine together! ![]()
