Hi there
I am working on my chapter 23 workbook on choreography and wondering if the routine needs to have much in the way of ‘tricks’. I am working on a routine for an upcoming flow class and have been requested to do ‘emo/angry’, as this class is open to beginners the difficulty will be low and the aim will be more around to flowing through the movements and emotion rather than hit bold, held tricks. Is this suitable for this workbook?
Thanks
Madii
Hi Madii!
It sounds like such a fun routine!
For this assessment, the focus of the choreography is less about showcasing advanced tricks and more about how you thoughtfully integrate appropriate-level movements into your routine. There should still be a few very basic level tricks included, but the emphasis is more on flow, musicality, and transitions.
We’d love to see seamless transitions between choreography and tricks whenever you choose to use them — that cohesion is what really brings a routine to life.
Hope that helps!
